Scarecrow Trail Westfield 2009

The Rules
- Contest is open to: Individuals, Families, Groups or Businesses
- Eight categories of entry to be judged:
- Youth - 12 & under *Adult help okay
- Teen - 13 to 17 years of age
- Adults - 18 and older
- Seniors - really older
- Families - Very much welcomed!
- Groups and organizations.
- Classrooms!
- Businesses - Use of company colors & logo okay.
- Judging will have a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place award. Winners will be announced at the Community Fall Festival at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Westfield.
- FRAMES: Can be 1" PVC or wood but must be two legged and 37" from bottom to tailbone. Overall height cannot exceed 6'6" including hat. PVC frame kits for $15.00 are available from Creative Kids or by calling (413) 568-9822 or emailing Westfield on Weekends (see Scarecrow Kit Frame Guide Flyer - jpeg format).
- Entry Fees: All entry categories are only $5.00 this year. All entries will be officially numbered.
- Scarecrows may be dropped off at Creative Kids, 1251 East Mountain Rd in Westfield. The Boys and Girls Club, or B.F. Cassin Insurance at 104 Elm St in Westfield by October 2, 2009.
- This is a community event and therefore no political, religious, sexual, or excessively violent scarecrow creations will be allowed. Team Scarecrow reserves the right to final approval.
- Theme for 2009 is still to be determined.
- Westfield businesses will be adopting and displaying your creation. You will be notified who has adopted your creation. A Scarecrow Trail Map will be available on Oct 25, 2009.
